From tip-off to the final horn, AZ REC teams
pride
themselves on competing, yet the "excellence" AZ REC players strive for
is not measured by the final score. Although winning is
always
fun, AZ REC believes often time more can be learned from losing, if one
takes advantage of the opportunity. As Vince Lombardi stated,
"If
you can't accept losing, you can't win!" Because life
continues
far outside the lines of the hardwood, AZ REC has adopted the motto of
"Heart & Hustle." It is our goal to equip our players
with
both Heart & Hustle so when they face their opportunity in
life,
they will win!

Mission |
AZ REC is
dedicated to offering
aspiring athletes an opportunity to expand their lives through the game
of basketball. AZ REC is focused on empowering you at-risk
with
the ability to make positive decisions both on and off the court by
enhancing individual strengths while placing extreme emphasis on the
necessity of teamwork.
Individual
commitment to a group effort—that’s what makes a
team work, a company
work, society work, a civilization work.”
